About Me

Matt Rhoads is a multidisciplinary artist with a strong foundation in fine arts and photography. He earned both a Certificate in Photography and an Associate of Arts in Fine Arts from Cecil College in North East, Maryland. While he has explored a variety of artistic mediums, his primary focus is illustration.

Rhoads' work has been featured in three Cecil College art exhibitions, reflecting his continued dedication to developing his artistic practice. Art has been a lifelong passion and serves as both a creative outlet and a means of personal expression. What began as an escape during childhood evolved into his most authentic form of communication.

Through his illustrations, Rhoads explores themes of darkness, introspection, and the hidden aspects of the human experience, inviting viewers to confront both the shadows around them and those within themselves. His artistic influences include comic books and video games, whose dynamic characters and storytelling continue to inspire his work.
